Submit Letters to the Editor

Submit Letters to the Editor

Use your writing skills to build political will

Getting a letter to the editor published in your local paper amplifies your influence because many people will read what you've written.  Congressional offices pay close attention to letters to the editor, because it helps them keep their fingers on the pulse of their constituents, districts, and states.

What should you say?

The CCL Community website offers training and suggestions on writing effective letters.  Remember to keep the tone respectful and nonpartisan.  We're trying to educate people about our solution and influence public opinion.  Smart, positive letters that offer hope and a practical way forward are best.

Learn how to write effective letters to the editor on the CCL Community website.
