In the face of COVID-19, CCL will hold a virtual event, so that our climate change work can continue online. June 13-14.
CCL's virtual Earth Day keynote address by climate scientist Dr. Katharine Hayhoe.
If you missed Durango's Earth Week Online, you can still check out web-based activities to keep adults and kids entertained and earth-friendly.
In-person meetings are cancelled until further notice. Remote work continues. Click the button below for details.
Durango CCL's Media Team Director talks about the impacts of climate change to her community, what inspired her to join CCL, and how writing letters to the editor can build political will for climate solutions.
Revenue-neutral Carbon Fee & Dividend
Place a modest, steadily rising price on fossil fuel emissions. Return all net revenue to Americans on an equal per capita basis through monthly dividends. A border adjustment protects US exporters and makes sure foreign trading partners are paying their fair share. The policy has strong support across the political spectrum as the most efficient and effective way to accelerate our shift to cleaner energy, while maintaining a healthy economy and sheltering lower-income earners from price shocks.

You can help us with outreach, engagement and education by inviting one of our speakers to a neighborhood or civic group. Regardless of the size of the group or venue we can provide a speaker who will educate and answer questions on our Carbon Fee & Dividend policy to address climate change.
We are focused on a national carbon fee and dividend policy. We believe that is the single most impactful solution to climate change.
We believe that people are good, and that democracy works. We are confident that our approach will work because we see progress. We stand for a solution, not in protest of other solutions.
We take the most generous approach to other people as possible — appreciation, gratitude, and respect. We listen and work to find common values. Our approach is to build consensus — that’s what will bring enduring change.
We are prepared and do our research. Our approach is thoughtful & thorough. We consult experts and use data. We are open to new information; in fact we solicit opposing opinions.
We use our voices to be heard. This simple act transforms us from spectators to engaged citizens, and it reveals the true nature of democracy to us.
Our group is open to all who are serious about solving climate change. You are welcome no matter where you live, what you wear, what you do for a living, or who you voted for in the last election.
We empower everyone in exercising their personal and political power. We seek out, support, and elevate people whose voices may not have been fully heard.
